How do I add my event to the community calendar?

Registered users are free to add their events to our Community Event calendar.

If you have registered on our main site ( www.wetmtv.com ), by entering a contest or playing a game, then click on "sign in" in the upper right hand corner and use your current username and password

If you haven't registered on our site before, then click on "Join" in the upper right hand corner and follow the instructions.

To add your event to the community event calendar:

In the calendar section, choose "Community Events" from the Calendars box on the right hand side of the screen.
Choose "Submit Item" from the Common Tasks box on the right hand side of the screen
In the title section, put the title of your event to be listed
Choose the date of your event from the Event Date chooser (click on the calendar icon to open a larger calendar from which you can choose a date)
In the message section, put the details of your event
Now click the "Details" tab (right next to compose at the top of the form)
Fill in the form with any of those details you may have. It is not necessary to fill in all details.
Click the "Recurrence" tab or "Post Item".
Choose how often your event repeats (daily, weekly, etc.) and the date the events will stop.
Click "Post Item"

Your event will be submitted for approval. Once approved, it will show up on the Community Calendar.

I don't like it, I don't understand it. I was told that you see more of the movie. It's not worth it, you get a 1/2 inch on both sides. The TV's are getting bigger and the picture's are getting smaller. I have a 65" TV I want the entire screen filled with movie, I don't care that I can't see the coffe cup on the end of the table. I'mI the only one? let me know.Please. Thank you.

Criminal Activity in the Near Westside

The streetside tires were slashed on every car on Elm street last night. I talked to a witness who didn't think it necessary to call the police to report what was going on. Are you kidding me? Come on Elmira, we've got to be more vocal about the crime in our city. It's not going to go away if we stay silent.

with the slumping economy and the rise of unemployed people in the twin tiers and around the world the department of social services in elmira has to be the worst ever. I am new to this area a resident of 2 months now i am 47 years of age with alot of medical problems. I have applied for public assistance here in elmira and have to say because i think it is important the way government or state employees treat people applying for public assistance some people apply and are entitle to these programs some not by choice but because they have fallen on hard times or for medical reason or whatever. well i've made numerous trips to this local dss office here in elmira which i was given the run around made promises by dss workers and supervisors that cared more about their walks in the parking lot than the people waiting to be seen by them inside,while they duck their supervisors and getting paid to take walks while on the clock,and people they service everyday are on the brink of eviction,being homeless,no food or medical such as myself they seem to be worried about whats going on outside than the real problem going on inside the dss office ,with people out of jobs,no healthcare,food or whatever. I will never understand a person who can live with themselves knowing the people are there because they need help and the employees hire by dss to help and serve these people are out walking the lot while people on the brink of being homeless,starving,and sick inside dss waiting hours or more to be seen its sad. because they have job stability, a roof over their heads food in the fridge doesnt account for those of us who are less fortunate. I just want them to see how it would feel when its them on the other side of the desk needing help while your cries goes unheard wake up people we all need help at some point and time in life, and you will benefit form helping others when u have the resources to do so, but choose to do otherwise because your walking the parking lot,doing your nails ,talking on the phone on companies time for your own personal use when u should be addressing the real issue how can u sleep with yourselves at night. "god don't like ugly" one day u will be judged for your works here on earth and have to answer for it whether it be good or bad. the bad you do to others will come back to you 100 times worse may not be today but it will believe me "god bless you"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why should we put up with the carpenters union in front of all the CVS stores?

CVS is doing what any good bussiness or private company and home owners would do when you get a bid for a job, get the best price you can.

The union is what is putting people out of work not CVS Average wage for union 34.00 dollars an hour and up.

Maybe the Union people should think about what the union is doing to them. The union gets there money from the members they are just a big cash cow. The carpenters are a great and very talented people but they depened on the union for work, you people are good go get the work you dont need help doing that and we the people dont need you in are face telling us you dont have work because CVS didnt hire local union.

How much freezing rain will we get this week anyone know?

I know this is a odd/stupid question to ask but was wondering if we are going to get a lot of freezing rain this week, like parts of the North East got late last week and lost power, still others without power. I hope not. I feel for those that still don't have power and won't for a few more days or so.

I was doing some christmas shopping online at spencersonline.com, and i looked at a bunch of different items, and clicked the "checkout" button to see how much my total was. When i finally saw what i was going to get, i again pressed the "checkout" button and put my debit card information in and pressed submit, then it showed a me a message that said "mastercard override decline( no purchase made )" so I asumed that meant that I didnt make a purchase! was i so wrong in doing so???

well i called washington mutual(my bank) to see why my card was declined, it told me i only had 10 dollars left in that particular account. SPENCERS CHARGED ME EVERYTIME I PRESSED CHECKOUT (which was way before i put in any of my debit card information). THEY GOT A TOTAL OF $232.00. when the price of the purchase i was making was $27.29!!!

I called spencers today and theey told me that the website will show that message if there was any information in the card holders address that was different from what was registered on the card. BUT IT TOOK THE MONEY ANYWAYS, AND THEN TOOK THE SAME AMOUNT 7 MORE TIMES!!!!!! my bank (washington mutual) says they cant do anything, unless there is a confirmation number, BUT there is no confirmatoin number, becuase spencers shows that we never made a purchase!!! so we wont even get anything in the mail!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so upset!!!

I have a 4 month old son and a family to take care of, we just recently moved to New York, from Florida 4 days ago, and we are trying to start fresh, and now we dont even have money to buy anything for christmas, or to even buy diapers for that matter!!!

This is rediculous!!!!

Dear Santa: Im 30 years old, hard working guy. I have no children, never married, and am going to be alone on Christmas this year. I have family, but both of my parents are Terminally ill. I dont want anything for christmas this year except to be happy. I for christmas would like a family of my own to spend this wonderful time of year with. I have never been this unhappy in all my life during this season. I have so much love to give, and no one to share it with. Im smart, attractive, and I have never ending love to share with someone special. So santa save your tools, cars, and money. Please can I have a family of my own? That would be my HAPPINESS.

once more judge furfure has found the time to slap the residents of steuben county in the face. by dismissing the charges aganist the group of five or six who came to bath with every intention of breaking the law she has sent the wrong message. there are many legal ways set up in the U> S> constitutuion that alow a person, a group r even a mob to proptest within the law. Judge Furfure has alowed her political bisa to once more cloud a simple subject. the five where given choices in their sentencing, which does not happen to many others in our copurt system. they had alowed themselves to be deluded by a false leader who used the mob mentalioty of the moment to sway four others to also break the law. Congressman Kuhl was not on ther scene at the time and the protestors where told that. when it was tim e to leave these five law breakers refused. now judje Furfure what if everytime Eric Massa, should he be elected to congress does this ruling alow any of us who disagree with anything he does to occupy his office without fear of recrimination? well that is how one might read from your confusing ruling. not onmly should you have allowed the charges but gave the leader the maxine sentence. Hey Judge maybe we are just a bunch of loe;y red necks over here in Bath, no where near as advanced as those chosen few in Ithica. If you feel this please leave steuben court and move to tompkins county where you can proptect thos criminals who avoid the law because of a less then couragious Judge.

I can't believe that coach Martinsen is not willing to sign Frank Littlejohn back this year, for what he made last year,Franky's commitment to the Jackals and this community was by far the best from any player in many years.Especially when he signed Bruce Watson from his last team,who supposedly was our new enforcer,yet Franky had to fill that role for the overrated Watson,and be the leader of the team,if watson would of did his job maybe Franky's hands wouldn't have been so messed up,but that beside who else could fill the seats at first arena, and bring bus loads of people from Adirondack just to watch him play. There wont be another Littlejohn in Elmira anytime soon,I think that Tamar better step into the situation before its to late.Sign him LOYAL JACKAL FAN WITH COMMON SENSE!

I feel I must comment about the HPV vaccination that was on tonights newcast. I am the mother of a cervial cancer victim. My daughter called me immediately after the news and we talked about this. We are concerned that mothers are hesitant to give their daughters this vaccine. This disease took her health, energy and her fertility. She endured much pain and distress going though treatment plus she lost 6 months of employment. Like she said, she is lucky that she has good insurance to pay the thousands of dollars for treatment and hundreds and hundreds of dollars for medication that prevent nausea that don't always work. To think a mother would not give her daughter this vaccine because it might give them the idea that they are promoting promiscuity is ridiculous. Think about watching your daughter give up plans for more children and undure much pain and hardship because of this reason, is beyond reason. My daughter told me that 90% of women in their thirties have been exposed to HPV. This should have been brought out in your report. This could happen to you or your daughters. If there had been a vaccine when my daughters were teenagers I would have made it available to them.

Theft in Wellsboro, PA

I live in Whitneyville, a small community in Wellsboro, PA. Up until last night sometime, I had 2 scarecrows & multiple pumpkins at the end of my driveway. My 5 y.o.'s went to school crying this morning because apparently some kids with too much time on thier hands decided to steal them. To the person or persons who did this: I hope it keeps you up at night knowing you've effectively stolen candy from babies. Was this really necessary? It's a sad day when a homeowner cant display anything without fear of theft. I hope your happy. My children now know what 'cruel' means.

Mother to All Students-RIP

Most of Elmira has heard, as news spreads fast when devestating, Alice Kane passed away Sept 16. She was not only a mother to all students, but she loved and cared for everyone that passed through the same hall as she did. Speaking as someone who grew up with her, through Washington Elementary, Davis middle and EFA, she was a face I saw daily. Most people she touched have grown up, and moved from Elmira, however, she is still a strong force in our lives. The loss of such a strong woman is felt by the whole community. not everyday do you have someone in a school, especially those in the shape that Elmira schools are in today, touch students. Students go to school just to wait for the 3:05 bell, but not when it came to Mrs. Kane. Everyday she was there, walking at a fast pace through the hall, and talking to everyone. Knowing not only her, but he children, she was the most loving woman that has passed through those halls, and cared for everyone she had the chance to touch as much as we cared for her. Mrs. Kane we miss you and love you. Forever In Our Hearts.

Are all truck drivers overweight??

Are you or do you know a truck driver? Is that person overweight? Make sure you check out Nurti System's commercial. Obviously they seem to know what some of us don't, all truck drivers eat too much and need to lose weight.

I was offended and very pissed off that a lady on one of Nurti System's commercials says she "use to eat like a truck driver". My husband is a truck driver and is not overweight. We have many friends who also drive trucks and they are not overweight.

Does anyone else believe that Nutri System's decision to put that in a television commercial was ignorant? Did they not take into consideration that people would be offended? Isn't this another type of discrimination that our world doesn't need?

This country would stop if not for these truck drivers! More people need to remember that we need truck drivers to deliver the things that we need and use everyday. Give these men and women the respect they deserve. And let Nutri System know that ignorance is not good for business!
