(Re)Discover Corning
All Corning area residents are invited to (re)discover many of their great hometown attractions FREE! On Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, over 40 businesses and organizations are offering free admission, free presentations and free special offers to all area residents. Visit the Corning Museum of Glass and Rockwell Museum of Western Art, enjoy all the Corning Family YMCA facilities, take a tour of city hall, listen to local authors at the Southeast Steuben County Library, learn to play a new sport at the Denison Park Disc Golf Course, stroll the historic Gaffer District and participate in special activities in many businesses, and much more! And all activities are FREE! There’s even FREE parking in all the city lots and parking garage or park in the free Corning Museum of Glass parking lot and take the shuttle.
To participate, all area residents are invited to pick up a free events “passport”, available beginning on April 15th at these Corning locations: Market Street Coffee & Tea (61 E. Market St.) , Wegmans (Bridge St.), or the Corning Chamber of Commerce Information Center (Centerway Square on Market St.). Passports will also be available on the day of the event at all participating businesses. On May 3rd, use your passport for free admission, free activities, and free special offers at over 40 Corning locations (For the complete list of locations, please visit our website at www.rediscovercorning.events.live.com) Passports will be stamped at each location. Visit five (5) or more destinations to be eligible for great prizes. Only one (1) passport per family is needed.
